Question:

How do I remove melted plastic from a stove? A Whole Cookie tray cover melted Everywhere in the Oven. Help!!!

Some plastic was easy to remove after it dried but its All over the place. Anyone witha secret to my success please reveal your majesty.

  1. Heat oven to apprx. 160 degrees or warm on the setting dial. Take a wire brush and starting at one end of the mess push the wires into the plastic, gently roll the brush gathering up the plastic. Obviously the wire brush will be useless after this.


  2. I would use a protable torch you know the ones used for plumbing, Heat up small areas at time and remove with a metal putty knife or spatula. Heat those areas until they are soft and srap off, use steel wool to remove remaining areas. Good luck Betty Crooker!!!


  3. acetone will work ,it wont harm steel but dont get any on painted surfaces
