How do I remove myself and any information about me from a Yahoo group, without notifying the moderator or in any

way generating a notificication? If I choose the Leave Group option from the Edit Membership page, does that in any way notify the moderator or generate a notification? (Fine if they're able at some point later too see that I am no longer a member.) Will the Leave Group option remove all information about me, or just my email from distribution? Thanks.

  1. I own a group and moderate another and am always notified when someone leaves.  I don't have to approve it or anything.  Then your info will be removed from "members," but any posts you made in there will remain.

  2. the notices sent to owners and moderators are choices they may choose- some get them, some do not and if they did not choose this, the logs of the group always do keep those records, and the member count reflects a leaving member.

the only thing removed from a group is you, nothing you contributed leaves automatically such as posts, files, photos or links, all those things remain. it just removes you and mail coming to you.
