about a month ago I drove through, what I thought at the time was muddy water.it turned out to be light grey paint spilled in the road.although most on the higher sides of my car rubbed off fairly easy,I am having trouble getting it off the lower edges.is there anything I can use besides a plastic scraper that won't harm the original paint?

  1. try some rubbing compound.

  2. You can use rubbing compound, easily available in the market and after that wax polish it. This process may reduce the paint marks and you car's original colour may not be damaged.

  3. Want to know a trade secret ,,,,? Use Prep-sol wipe it on wait a couple of seconds give it another wipe and when your done you will have to re polish the car as prep-sol takes the grease and other fine impurities of the metal to prep the surface for painting and as you had paint mixed with water it should come with the Prep-sol OK

If the above fails you can get cutting compounds but they can be too abrasive and then you will need to repaint mmmmmm I'd try the Prep-sol first or even something like Autosol motorcycle polish it is extremely fine and can polish marks out of clear plastic motorcycle screens good Luck

  4. Try using P21s Total Auto Wash, spray the product onto the desired location and let it dwell for 3 minutes or longer. Agitate using a microfiber or lam skin mitt. Rinse. If that doesn't work, use a stronger chemical, Googone. Let it sit for no longer than 2minutes. Do the same as with the P21s. Than after that, clay it to remove microscopic residual left on the paint.
