Question:

How do I remove plumbers between the threads??

The thing I need to unscrew is under my kitchen sink. The whole faucet moves around and I can see from underneath the hole that the hot and cold water handles are going through, so the putty is free of the under part of the sink. I just am not able to unscrew it (with my hand) because I think the putty is probably in the threads. Is there any way, like a chemical or something, that would loosen this up? Or do I need to go buy some type of tool.

  1. Inside your sink where your waste water runs out, this is called a drain, sometimes this has a s***w in the center of which is attached to the part that you have just described. Depending on the design, if this is the case with your drain try and tighten the s***w up with a screwdriver.

If you don't have that kind of drain, and you are unable to loosen or tighten the underside connection to the drain either ask a friend or call a plumber. I do not doubt your skills, but if it stuck you need help.

This also may work, get some silicone sealant and apply this around the gap, make sure the area is dry first. If done well this will last a while.
