try scrapping any excess of with a stanley knife blade, then let it dry out properly, try wiping it with a damp cloth or some glass cleaner !

At Home Depot they have formica chip samples and you can get them for free. Scrape the window with the chip and polish with glass cleaner and a soft rag. The formica chips won't scratch any surface and they work as good as a blade.

Vinegar && bicarbonate of soda.

Put one teaspoon of bicarb in and a drop of vinegar on the windowpane, it will bubble but dont worry if it goes crazy too much vinegar!
