How do I remove rust from concrete?

  1. There are two things I would do. Get a product called 'Iron out'. I have found this to work well on just about anything with rust on it. Use a nylon bristle brush to scrub it into the stains. Then wash off. The other thing you can try and it requires some experience in doing is using muriatic acid. Dilute the acid in water then apply the acid to the concrete. Let it set for several seconds and then spray it off with a hose. Be sure to go over the areas with baking soda to neutralize any remaining acid. Then spray it off again. Do not get muriatic acid on anything (including yourself) because of its corrosive effects. If these two solutions don't sound appealing then I heard it said that lemon juice over minor rust stains works though I have never tried it myself.
