Question:

How do I remove sealer streaks from granite countertop?

I have granite countertops, and since it was recommended to seal them I applied sealer according to the instructions on the label, but the result left streaks all over the countertops. I read a lot more on the web after this, and now that I have read more about this, I know it was probably from overapplicatication. How do I correct this?

  1. try applying some acetone or rubbing alcohol to eat away the excess sealant.

  2. When the people came to install it did they leave behind any paint thinner?! Well that's what you need. Go get a small amount of paint thinner put it on a rag and just rub that small area. Be careful if you have cuts on your hand because it will sting! It's what all the pros use when installing counter top! Best of luck, hope i was helpful!

  3. Most sealers have to be applied every year. Wait until that time comes and put it on again sparingly.
