How do I remove the musty smell from a hideabed?

This hideabed was given to me by friends who had it stored in his workshop. It was covered with heavy plastic. I didn't notice the musty smell until it had been in my apt for two days.

I have allergies, sinus problems and asthmas.

I need something that has no chemicles or smell to it.

I tried frbreeze and arm & hammer sprays but then I have to leave the apt for all day and leave my windows open to air it out.

What can I do????

use frabric sheets i use them  under my bedsheet so everytime i lay down it smells fresh

Is there a balcony or some place you can let it air out in the sun? If not, put carpet fresh or baking soda on the bed and let it sit. You may also want to invest in either a new mattress or a mattress cover that completely encases the mattress.
