How do I remove the suckers left on a brick wall after removing a climbing hydrangea, without damaging bricks?

  1. Pressure washer.


  2. same as with Ivy.... let them die and dry and shrink.... fresh, green and mean will just tear up the brick.... THEN go after them with scraper, steel brush  or powerwasher....

  3. Is it Hydrangea petiolaris?

    It is a vigorous woody climbing plant, growing to 20 m height up trees or rock faces, climbing by means of small aerial roots on the stems as you will obviously know.

    I suppose it would be just a matter of painstaking patience picking them off.
