Question:

How do I remove the transmission from a John Deere R72?

There's a pulley directly underneath in the way of the trainie bolts and I'm pretty sure it's connected to it somehow? I really just need to know how to get that pulley off...

  2. Just pull on it really, really hard.

  3. There's a tool you can buy at the automotive shops specifically designed for this. I think it's called a gear puller. I used it a few times but, I don't know if it goes by another name. In any event tell them what your doing and what you need it for and I'm sure they will know exactly what your talking about. Also, they may even have the manual for the vehicle your working on or they can tell you where to get one. Call the John Deere company.
