How do I remove white water stains from a door when trying to refinish?

I'm trying to refinish my bathroom door, but 50+ years of condensation have left white streaks all over the door. Anybody have any idea how I can eliminate these so I can restain?

  1. wash it down with TSP


  2. kilz primer

  3. I would sand it down really well.  If that doesn't work then try a wood conditioner.
