My drawer basically falls forward/outward when you open it. The slide is stripped to badly on the actual dresser, I think.. how do I repair it? It is part of a suite and expensive, so replacing it is not an option. Thanks!!

  1. If the slide is badly stripped then you will have to replace it. Otherwise try adding another piece to it, such as a shim to see if that works.  It sounds more like the piece that is supposed to keep the draw from tipping is lose of gone.  Look at the other drawers in the dresser to determine exactly what needs to be done.

  2. Thats exactly what my drawers were doing. If the slide is wood you could take it to a wood repair shop along with the track and have it reproduced . or do what i did and take a hammer and bend the track to the size of the slide now i dont have any problems . just to be sure we are talking about the same thing . my slide is a wood stick mounted under the drawer to the dresser in the middle and then there is a metal track attached to the drawer in the middle that slides over  the wood the wood was splintering to it got widdle a little. my dresser isnt expensive though . you could calla carpenter to try to fix it or look around for a crappy dresser with the same set up and replace it that way
