Question:

How do I repair my tv?

I a 36 inch flat tv, not hd just a regular tv. it is only four years old and this morning I tried to turn it on and it did not work!!

do tvs have fuses? and can I repair it myself? is there a reset button? I will appreciate any help thank you.

  1. The only thing you can do is unplug it for a few hours to see if that resets it. Otherwise, it's dangerous for a non-trained individual to take apart a TV with a picture tube. If you touch the tube wrong, you could get electrocuted or implode the tube.


  2. If this is a Panasonic then yes--it could be the AC fuse (6.3 amp slow blow GMA).  The originallly installed fuse was not a slow blow and when you turn the set on the degaussing coil has large current draw that will make the fuse glow red and eventually fail.  If its an RCA then you'll need to have a technician install a degaussing circuit upgrade.  Anything else?  call a technician.

  3. You got 2 choices. 1 Use a sledge hammer. 2 Take it in for repairs.

           I like the 1st option better lot of fun just make sure it is unplugged. LOL
