How do I replace my convergence board on my Panasonic PT53WX53G?

I have a Panasonic PT53WX53G that I have been having trouble with. It has a bowed picture and the colors are off set, kind of like a 3D show. I have read that this may be a convergence board problem. I have some electronics training and have built several computers, however I haven't played with televisions much. Where would I be able to buy the convergence board and how would I replace it?

  1. The convergence board is not available to consumers and can only be purchased by factory authorized shops per tech approval. I would try replacing both output ic's on the board, Check all the low value resistors and fuses with an ohm meter. Normally replacing the board would require a major recalibration with a special signal generator but just changing the ic's would probably have favorable results.
