Question:

How do I replace my iPhone screen and battery?

I stupidly, and regrettably went for a swim in my pool with my iphone in my pocket. Everything seems to still be working fine, except the screen has water damage, almost like there is fog stuck behind it. Also, my battery seems to not hold a charge. Is there a chance my screen will dry out? Has anybody else done this with their iphone and avoided getting a new one?

I called apple and they said they would replace it for $199. Which isn't even a good deal considering the new 3g's are the same price.

Is there anyway I can replace the screen if it doesn't get any better, and how would I go about replacing the battery?

Please help!

  1. Read the article:

  2. The screen and battery will cost a lot more than $199. The screen itself is $250 (iPod Nano second generation is $150...so imagine a touch screen more than twice the size).

I'd just say get the iPhone 3G...the screen will definitely cost a lot more than $199.

  3. your a bit fcked if youve broke da battery and screen

claim on insurance, or buy a new one, it will cost more to repair it
