How do I replace the cd,dvd burner on my laptop?

I replaced the cd, dvd drive burner but my computer doesn't even show I have this drive in my computer. However it doesn't work . I can open it to put a cd or dvd in it it but there is no where in" my computer" menu to click to run it.

Look in Device Manager to see if it is ther and update driver.  It appears you di dnot replace with exact model and brand as before so computer is not recognising it.

There may be nothing wrong with your CD drive - but simply a configuration problem/missing driver.

You might want to take it to a technician who can figure out the problem for you.
