How do I replace the lightbulb in a Sharp Carousel mircrowave?

my microwave is just a few months old. the lightbulb went out. I can't figure out how to get to the bulb to replace it.

  1. If you want to change it yourself, first unplug the oven.  Remove the screws from the back and any that might be on the sides.  The case slips upon tabs at the front and sometimes sides also.  Now slip the case to the rear to disengage the tabs.  Stay clear of the high voltage components as they can still deliver a shock.  Remove the old bulb and get a replacement probably from an appliance shop or electrical store.  Do not operate the oven with out the case installed.


  2. on this model you may need to take the entire casing off the microwave, and the buld will be plugged in from behind, but if you do this you may damage the warrenty , you should take it back with it being so new and get another, bulbs in microwaves normally don't blow very often..

  3. If its a above the stove unit- the bulb is accessible behind front top grill.

    If you have a counter model- the bulb sometimes accessible from rear panel with one s***w, else you have to remove the wrapper (case) of unit to get access. Rear screws and usually 4 bottom edge screws. UNPLUG FIRST!!!!
