  1. Contact the local ASPCA and report an animal abuse case.  They will come and investigate it.  Withholding medical treatment is definately considered animal abuse.

  2. Don't call animal control because they will just put them to sleep. they don't even look for shelters to put the animals they catch in. Also, don't call the police unless they are severely mistreating the cat (like physical abuse). In most cases of neglect the police will only feel annoyed and call Animal Control to take care of it anyway.

  3. You can go to

    http://www.aspca.org/site/PageServer?pag...

It will give you a number to call

  4. Call the spca/ humane society.Do NOT stand there and watch an animal suffer. They have NO voice and need our help. Please do something to help this poor thing.

    God Bless

  5. RSPCA

  6. dont call the pound they have no room for the cat so they probably will kill put it to sleep or who knows how they kill them!some use the shot some step on them some put them in a gas chamber so i think its better if you took it and kept it or give it to someone

  7. You should tell your town animal shelter/ pound. Then you'll just have to give their adress and they will check it out. They will take the cat from the home and put it in the pound for adoption.

    Hope that helps!

  8. I'd go with animal control. The pound will probably put it to sleep if they don't think it's worth it, or if the cats not adopted in the time they think it should be.

  9. Call Animal Control - or, if you don't have one (some places don't) - call your local NON-emergency police number and ask them to investigate.  It is a crime if it is intentional, and they are withholding vet care.  However, are you positive they are.  Some times, no matter what a vet does. or wants to do, a sick cat cannot be helped.  Have you spoken to the owners about it?  That would be your first step.  If they don't have the money to take it to the vet, and you want to help, then offer to pay.  Don't threaten or be aggressive, because when it comes down to it - it's their property - and all you can do is report that you have done everything possible - and turn it over to animal control or the police.

By the way - the SPCA  - regardless of what SOME people said here - does NOT kill animals just because they pick them up.  THIS IS AN URBAN MYTH.  They take an oath to "FIRST DO NO HARM".  The ONLY time they put animals down is when they are too sick, or too aggressive to adopt out.  Putting them to sleep just because of overcrowding is something the movies and tv do for dramatic effect.  STOP SPREADING THIS MYTH - it is causing a lot of people to be afraid to take strays and pets they cannot afford any longer to get the vet care and homes they need.
