  1. better business bureau

  2. ya i'd sa ybbb

  3. Contact the Department of Agriculture. They're responsible for setting the standards and enforcing policies on fuel stations.

  4. First off, don't lose your receipt showing that you bought gas there.

Secondly, have your mechanic take a sample of the gas and send it for testing. And get certified copies of your reciepts for repairs, replacement of bad gasoline and testing, as well as rental car for the time taken to make repairs.

Third, you go to the gas station. If a manager isn't available, or attendant won't make available to you the owner or manager of the station, you get an attorney involved.

The fourth step, if you have to get an attorney involved, is going to the local nightly news.

Fifth step, know your governmental bodies. Oddly enough, my state's department of agriculture governs the sale and quality control of fuels. (I'm still trying to figure out why the railroad commission governs oil exploration.)

Sixth step, you don't quit. I might not get away with arguing that a stores storage of prophylactics caused an unwanted pregnancy, but I can argue the h**l out of saying that I have repair and rental bills, possibly even damages, directly resulting from their negligence.

If you have a lawyer, proof from a mechanic and lab as well as the attention of the local media, the station has two options; they pay your repair bill, the lab bill, the replacement of the tainted fuel and legal fees and cost of a rental; or they can take it to court, where they're likely to wind up doing the same thing anyway.

Getting the nightly news involved will basically drive them out of the fuel business, be good resources for an attorney working for you and push them to the bargaining table a little faster. By exposing them publicly as selling bad fuel, the insurance company will be forced to either pay your claims, or pay loss of income claims from the station until everything is resolved.

    Good Luck.
