How do I request a baptismal certificate from a church in Ocaña, Columbia?

My best friend is getting married and needs a copy of her fiance's baptismal certificate for the church. How does she make the request? The church is San Augutin in Ocaña, Columbia.

Why doesn't your friend's fiance contact the church by phone and ask them to mail it? Does he still have family in Colombia, if so then they can get it for him.

You have to know the "libro" and "folio" number and then someone - can be a family member - has to GO to the Church and get it. Usually the mom will have that written down somewhere. IF you dont have it. You HAVE to go in person, show your cedula. You probalby know this, but you would have to fly into Bogota and take a bus to Bucaramanga and then to Ocana. Why isnt her fiance getting all this? He's Colombian and should aready know this c**p. He should be worried about all this. Ocana is a tiny,tiny town in the middle of nowhere. (80K people maybe)

Sounds as if her fiancé needs to get down there and show proof he is who he is.

Why is he not online here giving a more detailed explanation as to why he does not have his birth certificate?  Are you sure some one is not trying to commit fraud and get a fake id?
