The model number is AR430W. I got a new modem and I was trying to make it work with my router. I had a old one with it before and now i want it to work with my new one. But i need to know how to reset it online. And i don't mean pressing the reset button on the router, i have already tried that and it didn't work.

  1. Maybe reset is the wrong word for what you are trying to do.  That is what everyone is telling you to push the reset button.

Ifyou describe in detail what you are trying to do, we could give you a better answer.

Also, maybe contacting your ISP would get you running fastser.  They normally supply the modem.  Maybe the setup on the modem is wrong and they could help with that.

Or describe the error which you have not done.

  2. Hold reset for 10 seconds.

Unplug the router for 15 seconds, then plug it back in.

  3. Did you try holding in the reset button?

Usually you have to hold them in and not just press them.

  4. FORGET THE RESET BUTTON.YOU NEED TO RE-INSTALL THE SOFTWARE THAT CAME WITH NEW ROUTER.YOU WILL NEED TO GO THROUGH THE STEPS AGAIN TO SET THE MODEM TO WORK WITH THE ROUTER.UNPLUG EVERYTHING AND START FROM SCRATCH.FIRST THE SOFTWARE AND THEN THE HARDWARE.REMOVE THE PREVIOUS AIRLINK SOFTWARE FROM ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS.RE-INSTALL IT FIRST BEFORE YOU HOOK UP ANY HARDWARE.YOU SHOULD GET RESULTS.GOOD LUCK.

  5. Try this, usually there is a small hole at the back called reset button, press and hold don't release, then unplug the power while still pressing down the reset button, plug back in the power then wait for about 10 second before releasing the reset button, it should reset your router to factory default.
