Question:

How do I resize a 400x225 image to 100x100 for an icon?

since the height and and width are off the image resizer can't do it. and I cant really find a good program

  1. Here is a free on line photo resizer i have used it and found it easy to use and offering a good free service. no software download needed.

  2. open picture with paint>>at top ,click on image>on dropdown click on stretch/skew>>on the box change the 100% to 25%X45%  click file-save

  3. Well, if you want it to look the same as it currently does at those perameters, it can't be done.

    It would have to be cropped to the a set of equal measurements:  For instance, 225x225, 200x200, etc., then resized.

    If you just take it from the original to a 100x100 image, it will come out quite distorted.  It's not difficult, though -- something as easy as Paint can do it in a couple of seconds.

    If it's for an avatar or something similar on a website, you can of course make it smaller than 100 pixels for one of the measurements, as well.
