How do I restore a mirrored finish?

I did not take such good care of one of my iPods, and the back has been scratched up a bit. It almost looks like is has a brushed finish now, lol. How do I restore it to a mirrored finish?

Try using Brasso, which is traditionally used as a Brass polisher.  A quick google search for "Brasso + iPod" will yield numerous examples and detailed procedures.  I've also heard of using T-cut, which is traditionally used on car paint.
