How do I restore my laptop to factory settings?

hey guys, i had to reinstall my windows vista-but now im tryin to restore it to factory settings-i've searched online on how to do that but all i find is "click on f8,then when advanced options come up click on repair my computer then i will see-factory settings-then click on it"

ive tried this but when i click on f8 and get to the advanced options screen it doesnt say repair my computer

i've tried putting in the cd it came with to boot from but i see dont see -factory settings-

can someone PLS tell me how to restore my laptop to factory settings-

I have a Dell Studio 1735

  1. Once you have performed a clean reinstallation of Vista, you will loose that hidden partition which will be having the image of the factory installation. So you can't do that now. If you boot from cd also that option will not there. Try calling Tech support and check if there is way to get a recovery disc
