How do I restore my recycle bin icon?

Help, Instead of emptying my recycle bin I deleted the icon from my descktop. How do I restore it?

I can find it but when I right click it does not say 'create shortcut'

What have i done and can I undo it.

I am running Vista.

click start icon then control panel then personalization then on the lefthand side of the screen under were is says tasks click on (change desktop icons) just put a check mark in the box beside the recycle box then click apply :)

i have no idea, but on XP your not even able to delete the icon.  weird.

Try this:

1.Right-click on the desktop and select Personalize.

2.Click the Change Desktop Icons entry in the left pane.

3.Check the Recycle Bin checkbox.

4.Click OK.

That should do it.
