How do I retrieve lost files?

I took an adult ed course on html programming, and opened a GeoCities web account with Yahoo. All of my notes and class examples were stored on my account. Yesterday, I got an email from Yahoo stating that my account was closed asserting that I redirected the web site violating TOS. I DID NOT. At least I did not do this intentionally. I just want my class examples back so I can figure out what went wrong. How do I retrieve lost files?

If your account is closed I doubt that Yahoo will re-open it without a good reason.

Try writing a nice, sincere, apologetic letter to Yahoo, explaining that the files are necessary for your studies / work and ask if you can have them returned to you although your account is closed. If you really need them, a bout of sustained abject grovelling and begging is in order.

You have to do it pretty quick because I'm sure that closed accounts are deleted almost straight away.
