  1. Hi I don't understand why you should have ticks in you yard (garden) as ticks are usually carried by sheep and cattle, or animals or even yourself if you have been walking in the open fields, is your yard next to fields where there are cattle or sheep?

Whether there is a spray you can use on your yard you could ask you local pet shop or chemist or indeed a farmer but I would think it would be rather expensive that is why farmers dip the animals. Why not just keep checking your pup every couple of days, chances are if there are any ticks in you yard they will die off if they don't get any blood. If your yard has a concrete/ stone surface give it a good going over with a pressure cleaner that might help. good luck ticks are not nice to have on your pups body let alone your children.   Alex

  2. Ridiculous as this may sound,Put black walnut leaves under the dogs bed pad. This is not a one hundred percent successful way of eradicating parasites but it really helps. About  the yard and outdoors problem  the only way I know of is get some Guinea fowls which eat every tick they find.I hope this helps
