How do I rip songs from an mp3 disc?

I have a cd of songs which are already in mp3 format. I just want to put the songs onto my computer (permanently, not just while the cd is in the tray.) I have tried ripping with Nero, WMP, and iTunes, but I have had no luck. Please help!

  2. put the cd in and go to my computer

then you have to right click on the audio cd icon

there should be an option that says rip cd

that is all that you have to do hope it helps

  3. No need to rip the CD.

Ripping a CD implies grabbing information from the CD and compressing it to a more manageable format. ie: Audio CD -MP3.

Since the files are already MP3 simply go into your explorer. In Windows it's "My Computer" on a Mac it's called "Finder", and click on the CD source. When the window opens, showing the contents of the CD, drag and drop the desired files to another folder or your desktop.

Voila permanent files on your PC.

  4. Nick F is wrong. Just go into the CD in 'My Computer' and copy the files into a folder within your computer.
