How do I run for my city council? As a mayor or council member?

I live in Surrey BC. And I feel like running... I could win! I don't see any details on the site on how to get started. Im losing my sanity trying to figure it out. I thinnk I need 35 signatures of something. Say I do, I want to know can the signatures be on the back of a naptkin? Do I need a special form? Where can I find this out!? I suppose I could call them but I only will If I cannot get an answer here.

Get on the ballot, get your supporters behind you, get an organization together, and start campaigning.

Every city is different, but the city clerk will obviously know all the rules and regulations. Call the city clerk or whatever it's called in your town.
