In gym class, we have to run a mile around the practice football field. There's 5 laps and for girls we have to get 10 mins or less for an A. I always run out of breath really easily and get bad cramps. On the test I got 12 mins and 30 secs which was a D. What should I do to be able to last longer without getting tired and get a better time? We have this test every Friday for the rest of the year.

  1. start to ride a bicycle it works on the stamina in your legs and continue to run.

  2. my sun loves to run the best thing to do when you are feeling that pain in your side and are out of breath is hold your arms up. over your head that gets more oxygen to your lungs

  3. Start running outside of school.  Start off with maybe 5 minutes straight for the first 2 days, then work up to 10 minutes then up and up.  Eventually you will become a stronger and better runner.  Walk for a few minutes before you do your run so you're more warmed up.  Honestly though, if you start running more often you'll become better./

  4. im not sure since your a girl your give up rate and your potential to get inner energy is less then the males. You dont have much adrenline so when your dead your dead.

  5. well start off at a slow steady pace then gradually near the end pick it up a little. [make sure ur tampon or pad is secure wen u run ]plus run everyday tht way ull get faster and get used to it

  6. Don't exhaust yourself in the beginning and start at a slower pace. Then pick it up in the end.

Also, the more you do it the easier it'll be.
