How do I safely uninstall Norton from my computer?

I've tried to download avg but I have Norton installed from last year.

It's recommending that I uninstall Norton before installing avg.

I also have Norton on my PC and i like it.

But if you want to get rid of it from you're PC you will need to un-install it.

Do this:

Start>Control Panel>Add and Remove> locate the Norton product from the list,..highlight it,..and click the tab that says,.."Remove"

That's it,..it will know longer on you're PC.

I removed Norton 360 without any problem, but you can download a removal tool from Norton. You should definitely remove Norton before installing any other security programme.

Go to add/remove programs which you will find in your control panel, highlight Norton and then click on remove, when Norton has gone download and install AVG, but do not run two anti-virus programs at the same time
