  1. This DVD Ripper is the most powerful one that I have used before. It has great power to rip DVD to video of all formats. You can free download here:

    http://www.topsreviews.com/dvd-ripper/dv...

Other DVD ripper you can get from:

    http://www.topsreviews.com/reviews/dvd-r...

Unbiased reviews and side-by-side comparisons of DVD Ripper give you enough information to research the ins and outs of a particular product.

Also, you can search some other software:

  2. Put in the DVD. For simplicity sake, ignore any auto run pop ups come up. Navigate to My Computer, then RIGHT click the DVD under the Removable Drives section. Click Open, not Play, or anything else. Then copy everything that's in there, by highlighting it, and pressing CTRL + C.

Navigate to the folder you want to save it to, and paste it by pressing CTRL + V.

You should then be able to click whatever movie file(s) to play them. If it tries to play and tells you that you don't have a required codec or something goes wrong in the playing of it, get VLC media player. It's free. you can get it here: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

    Good luck,

    Jesse

  3. Simply copy the folder "Video_ts" onto your hard disk, nothing else. The home made dvds have no encryption, so you don't need a decryption key or anything similar. To play the video from the pc, start the dvd playing software and select "Open Dvd from the hard disk unit": it will be played (included the menus) as from the source dvd.
