How do I save hd footage in vegas 7?

Question

I have some hd footage and am trying to render it in vegas 7, whats the highest quality way to do so? (template and file type... avi, wmv, ect.) btw I don't want so high quality that it will take up 3 gigs for 30 seconds... I just dont want it lowering the quality of the video.
