Hello!

I have a friend. She's super nice, and I stayed overnight at her house for her birthday. I really wanted to spend time with her, but her little 4 y/o sister wouldn't leave us alone, and if we didn't play with her, she'd go crying to her mommy and my friend would get in trouble! So after a while, we convinced her to leave us alone. But then she "had to tell me something important in her room", and the next thing I know, I got dragged into playing some princesses game! I barley got to spend time with my friend, and I didn't enjoy myself a bit :(

So, here's my question:

How can I say no to her and mean it?

  1. Maybe let your friend handle it.  Talk to her and tell her how you feel.  Let your friend have a conversation with her Mother about the situation.  That's not right that the Mother allowed that to go on as long as she did.  I think having someone talk to Mom is the only way the problem is going to be solved.  Otherwise have your friend stay at your place from now on.

  2. Talk to your friend about it. Don't be rude and say stuff like "ugh your little sister is SO annoying, make her go away!" Just say things like "I never get to spend time with you when your little sister is around". Have her talk to her mom.

  3. Since you obviously have a problem with being nice to this girl's sister simply don't go to your friend's house any more.
