  1. You don't. You bring it up in the interview by discussing lessons, etc. that you've done in other positions, how you deal with students when there are issues, etc. That's how they know.

  2. As "retired" suggested, you can have a brief section at the very beginning of your resume entitled "Skills Summary" and instead of saying that you have "good management skills" you might want to reframe that into something like: "competent with diverse student populations and the use of instructional methods to manage classroom learning as well as behavior."

Another way of getting the same message across -if you prefer not to have a "Skills Summary" section, is to -if asked- include it on your Educational Philosophy write-up.

In either case, good luck with the interview -and hopefully you're offered the position.

  3. putting has good management skills on a resume is a waste of time.

Everyone has good management skills on resumes/first interviews, you'd have to show it and if you can't then don't bother.  So either include it with experience or show some technique or research to back it up.

  4. On my resumes, I always put "held solid classroom management" or "exhibited positive classroom management".

    Good Luck,

  5. You can always do a little double-speak and say you have "excellent rapport" with students.

  6. If you have included a section on your resume where you mention your skills, I would include it there. If not, it will come out in the interview.
