I hit the 20 with my first dart and then I threw my next dart. My 2nd dart got stuck in the top of my 1st dart. How do I score that? Is it a miss? Is it a 20?

  1. I have played that counts as 20. I have played it counts as double, and counted as miss.  It all depends on who you are playing with. (and what bar rules you set) As for the OFFICIAL rules of darts, it states that a dart shall only score if the point remains in or touches the face of the dartboard, within the outer double wire, until after the throw has been completed, and the score has been called and recorded on the scoreboard.

    Hope this helps :-)

  2. Its another 20 if one gets stuck in another.

  3. This one of those situations that you settle with your opponent BEFORE you start playing, some will say it scores 20, others will say its a miss, you have to agree on a format.

  4. In proper steel tip darts rules, any thrown dart that does not have it's point actually in the face of the scoring area AFTER THE THIRD DART IS THROWN does NOT count for any points. A robin hood (when you stick one dart in the back of the last one you threw) is sadly a no - score shot.
