I'm a new vista user and I still can't find a easy way Search a file or file type. In Windows XP it's easy, just click the search function and select location and options then hit search OR just right click on the folder or on the drive then select Search.

But i still can't find this in VISTA. How can i do this in vista like i used to do in XP ?

  1. Click on the start button on the taskbar, the circle with the windows flag thing on it.

Then go into 'computer' in the right column.

In the top right hand corner is a search box. It says 'search' on it, to be completely clear ;]

Just type whatever you want into it.
