I'm new to windows Vista and I'm used to there being a button in Start>Programs where I can search for files, programs and pictures. How do I do that with Vista? (I used to have Windows XP)

  1. go to my documents.  there should be a search bar

  2. vista works the same too. on vista, they replace the word Start with the Windows logo. just click to expand the menu.

    if u wanna see the program... click All Program on the bottom left of the menu.

    there's also a search bar where you can type in whatever you're looking for in your computer...

  3. I don't use or have vista, but I think there is a "search" text input box now at the very bottom of your start menu.

    (Or start menu -> progams).

    Just input the filename and hit enter.
