How do I select a sound card for my computer?(Not buy one)?

I have no sound device selected. That's what my computer says. Where do I go to select one? Or do you know a site that will tell me?

I have Vista and for me to select the sound devices I right click the sound icon in the right hand corner and click playback devices......and if you do not have that.....click start(or windows icon in left bottom corner), go to control panel, click on HARDWARE AND SOUND, then open SOUND.....or click in the small text beside it ...Manage Audio Devices

When you see the devices, right click the one you want and selet Set As Default Device...you can also after right clicking, click test on the device, and if the device doesnt work, test the others until you find a working one and set it as default
