How do I send a fax from a computer with a calling card?

I want to use my computer to send a fax but the recipient is a long distance call and I don't have a long distance plan. Is there a way I can use a calling card? Do you have any other solution, and keep in mind I would like it to be 100% free (no free trials).

Yes you can use a calling card.  However this assumes that you have a fax modem and a calling card that will be free.

Scan or save you image to your computer.  All you need then is to call the 800 number for he calling card, the pin# and then the far end fax machine number and send it.
