How do I send a message to my partner while playing pool?

Usually, if you are playing partners in a pool game that is not "sanctioned", you may talk to your partner, outlining what shots might be taken.

Sanctioned pool tournaments do not allow partners to verbally discuss a particular "shot".

When playing "partner pool", each partner needs to assess their shot, and allow for where the cue ball, and other balls,  may end up if they miss their shot. The goal is to never leave your opponents an opportunity, always attempting to leave your partner a shot.
