How do I send email to a group ID while i am not the member of that group?

One more point. If you wish to join the group send an email to:

[e-mail]

If the group membership is monitored you will get a second email that asks you to identify yourself. Respond with information that you want the owner to know about you and your interests.

You can send an email to the group owner.  Address it to [e-mail]  Replace the X's with name of actual group.  It would look something like this example:  [e-mail]

If you are not a group member, you cannot send email to regular members if you do not already know their email address.  On some groups, members are not permitted to send emails directly to other  members - it just depends on how the group is set up.  In any case, if a member sends another member an email directly from the group site, a copy always goes to the group owner.
