How do I set my Yahoo Group so that only members can read messages?

I have two Yahoo Groups that I am the owner of.

Yahoo Group A - if you are not a member of the group you cannot access the messages, photos, links, etc. Only a member of the group who is logged in with their Yahoo ID can see anything.

Yahoo Group B - you can see everything without even being logged in or even a member of the group.

How do I change Group B to be like Group A where only members can read messages?

  1. You have to restrict membership to your group and here is how you can do that:

  2. Since you only ask how to change Group B to where only members can read messages, here is how to do that:

    Sign in to the group.

    Click Management.

Under Group Settings, click on Messages.

Scroll down to Posting and Archives and click Edit.

    Under Archive Options, select Members.

    Click Save Changes.

If you still want everything else open to non-members, that's all you would need to do.  If you don't want Group B's non-members to see everything else, you should do further editing under Group Settings>Web Tools.  If you don't want Group B to be Public, you can consider changing it to Restricted.
