How do I reset my radio in my car. All I get is an error message after trying to reset them. Is this something I have to take to honda, or can I get it down otherwise? Thanks

  1. LOOK ON E BAY THERE ARE LOTS OF UNLOCK CODES FOR ABOUT 1 POUND.ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS SEND THE MAKE,MODLE AND SERIAL NO THEY WILL THEN SEND YOUR CODE STRAIGHT BACK BY E MAIL....

  2. The reason it stopped was as a security precaution-- so that if your radio was stolen (I didn't know people still steal radios...) it wouldn't unlock for the person who stole it.

Instead of actually taking it down to the dealership, you can actually just give a call.  They should be able to give you a code to reset it.  If for some reason they do not have the code itself, they'll point you in the right direction.

I had the same thing happen to me years ago-- I cannot remember how I obtained the code, but I know it only took me about 20 minutes to get ahold of it.  I think I had called the dealership.
