I am a new moderator. On some of my groups online, the "reply" button only goes to the person who put out the email. On other groups, all replies go to the whole group. Is there a way to make one option "reply" and another option "reply to all" on a yahoo group?

  1. management- under group settings click messags- Posting and Archives (Edit) <-- click the edit- under 2nd column Replt to select the option you want- click save changes

you can only select one option however what ever you set the default to, the drop down on the group still has all 3 choices

  2. Click on Management on the left-hand side of your Yahoo Group's web page.  Then click on Messages under Group Settings.  Then click the Edit link next to Posting And Archives.  Choose the option you want in the Reply-To column.  Don't forget to click the Save Changes button when you're done.

Note : I think this only changes the default setting for a Reply.  All three options (the whole Group, the sender ,the owners and moderators) are usually, if not always, available by changing the selection in the pull-down list of the To field after one clicks Reply.
