  1. Just how are you setting the pressure, are you adjusting the pressure switch or the pressure in the new tank?   The amount of gallonage of a tank really has nothing to do with the pressure of the system.  It simply allows for more or less draw down before the pump kicks in to replenish the supply.   If you did this install yourself you should have checked the pressure present in the bladder tank, if it is a bladder tank.    Before it's hooked to your system it should be pressurized at approx. the same psi at which your pump is set to kick on.  If the old system kicked in at 20 lbs. then the new tank should be set at 20 lbs., or 30 or wherever.

It also sounds like the possibility that you've lost the prime on the system and it needs to be reprimed.

  2. This has nothing to do with your pump, and everything to do with the tank. Bladder type tanks have a precharged pressure factory installed and has to be set to work with the pressure switch that controls the on-off function of your pump. Either the pressure switch has to be set, or the pressure in the tank. This is not something most homeowners are familiar with, and should be set by your wellman, or your plumber. You may also have a bad bladder in your pressure tank. Good luck, and I hope this helps.

  3. Depends on make of pump. You do have a foot valve on your ejector?Try bleeding some of the air off

  4. Were you having problems before you changed tanks?  It's possible the nipple is clogged that connects the pressure switch to the manifold.  If it's clogged the pressure switch is not sensing the pressure drop.  Of course the pressure switch could be bad also.
