How do I set up a fax on a home telephone line? I have one telephone line and one fax machine?

First get a telephone splitter (also called a T-adapter) for your

telephone outlet. Plug your telephone and fax machine. Keep your fax machine on telephone mode. Every fax machine has a remote code (check owner's manual). When your phone rings and if it is a fax call, just dial the remote code and hang up, you fax machine will receive and print the fax.

make sure you  use the phone wire that came with fax.plug it in between wall and fax. then just plug your phones wire into the phone jack on fax machine.
