How do I set up membership so I can just add people that want to be added and not have to send them an invite?

I have had several people that have trouble responding to the invite and I noticed that in one yahoo group I am in the owner/moderator just added my name w/out sending an invite. How can I do the same thing?

the add feature is on every group regardless the type of membership the group is.

when you click the invite tab, at the bottom you'll see

Add Members from an existing email list.

click that and a new form will appear with it's own warning. remember when adding people, they will be mail list members only.
