Well first of you have to have alot of money like $180 then you go to ur local gamestore and buy the xbox live pakage you want then set it on the 360 (read the manual) then press ready and start on your xbox and away she blowssssss

Well, you plug in the ethernet cable that came with your xbox. One end in the back of your xbox. The other in either your router or modem. The only difference is with a router, you can browse the internet on your computer, while still being connected to xbox live. Once this is done, you go to your xbox dashboard. Press 'Join Xbox Live'. Then follow the on screen instructions, and you should be all set.
