I'm doing conversion of rates. I need to convert 6 ft/sec into x miles/hour. I'm not sure how to set the problem up.

  1. just get feet into miles and seconds into hours

    6ft/sec = x miles/60min

    6ft/sec=x miles/3600sec

figure out how many feet are in one mile and fill in the blanks

  2. First, figure out how many feet per hour.

6ft per second = _____ ft per hour.

Then convert the number of feet into miles.

    Other hints...

         3600 secs = 1 hour

_____ ft = 1 mile (you can find this out!)

  3. there r 3600 sec in an hour and 5,280 ft in a mile.

    peace...

  4. Try learning a course in Mathemagics...it lets you cheat math in your mind.
